The Dr. Gurumurthy, from University of Nebraska, will give a talk on September 20th at CRCHUM entitled : Easi-CRISP and GONAD : CRISPRing animal genomes made easy.
Dr. Gurumurthy is a very active researcher in the field of transgenesis who has developed various methods based on the CRISPR system to generate mouse models.

On April 11th, the CRRF held its 9th Work in Progress at the Ste-Justine Universitary Hospital Center in Montreal. Dr. Sylvie Girard and Dr. Christopher Price presented their work in progress with their students. Thus, Virginie Gaudreault and Cyntia Duval, students of Dr. Girard presented respectively:
• High Mobility Group Box 1 (HMGB1) has an endogenous mediator of inflammation in preovulatory follicles and at the maternal-fetal interface
• Altered transcriptome profiles in placentas from complicated pregnancies and the impact on the maternal immune cells
Then, Lauriane Relav from Dr. Christopher Price’s lab spoke about:

The 8th CRRF “Work in Progress” took place on December 12 at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at St-Hyacinthe. The presentation of Dr. Boeroboon’s laboratory began in the afternoon. Guillaume St-Jean gave a presentation on:Deletion of lats1/2 commits mullerian mesenchymal cells to the myofibroblast cell fate followed by that of Philippe Godin entitled: Roles of signaling pathways developing Hippo and Slit-Robo in the ovarian physiology of mice. The meeting ended with the presentation of Dr. McGraw’s laboratory with the successive presentations of three students.
